LevFin Exits (GS, MS, JPM)
I have a lateral opportunity for one of those three groups but have read on here that they do not do a lot of modeling. I have been told by people in the group that the credit knowledge you gain makes for a lot of exit opportunities but WSO seems to contradict this. Does anyone have any examples of potential and common exits for levfin analysts in these groups?
Bump
Check on Linkedin and you'll find some at Blackstone (GSO), KKR (Credit and Capital Markets), Bain Capital (+ within their Credit arm), Cinven (Capital Markets), ...
The above + Lone Star (capital markets)
Bump (for London exits)
Exits are much less group dependent in London (overall reputation of bank carries a lot of weight, so GS/JPM/MS will get you looks everywhere). Generally, it will be more important what deals you have worked on and your role on these (and how well you can talk to these, i.e. commercial understanding) once you are invited to interview stage.
Have seen multiple exits from both GS and JPM LevFin to top PE and Credit funds.
Hi OP, curious how was your lateral recruiting process like in terms of interviews and timing (initial interview to offer, and timeline between each stage? Heard lateral recruiting is very unstructured and timing in terms of responses could be staggered / lengthy.
