Lie about return offer ?
I’m re recruiting no matter what coming from corporate banking at BB to hopefully MM IB.
If I don’t get a return offer can’t I just say I got one and didn’t accept. Or did accept but it’s not what I want to do ? How would they know ? Are they really going to reach out to my team ?

You could lie and get the job.
Or you could work hard and be honest and know that it was all YOU who got the offer without having to stoop down to get ahead.
Personally prefer the latter.
Ya but like what if u don’t get a job because of something that wasn’t in ur control. My firms group has been performing poorly and aren’t giving the 3 interns offers.

Why do you think you wouldn't get a return offer? Returns in CB are generally a given if competent and BB CB is not a bad place to be. Unless set on PE, MM IB is not always better
Could you just say you opted out of being considered for a return? Would make sense if you knew it wasnt for you
