I’m re recruiting no matter what coming from corporate banking at BB to hopefully MM IB.
If I don’t get a return offer can’t I just say I got one and didn’t accept. Or did accept but it’s not what I want to do ? How would they know ? Are they really going to reach out to my team ?

Why do you think you wouldn't get a return offer? Returns in CB are generally a given if competent and BB CB is not a bad place to be. Unless set on PE, MM IB is not always better

People will tell you not to lie. Thats probably the right advice unless someone checks. If you are willing to take the risk just go for it. Look at all the people on Forbes 30U30 who lie and raise $Ms. Even Bill Gates’ daughter turned out to be a fraud. Just understand lying may not work and be OK with that.
