Is it even possible to break into the London IB market for european (male) bachelor student's?
It seems like if you don't get a spring week and then convert it, it's really unlikely.
You'd have to get a pretty decent intership after your first year to have realistic chances (and assuming you go to a targeet + top grades) but even then, you're still competing against master students also coming from continental european targets with way more experience, and don't forget about the dei hires who managed to get a spring week.
It seems like almost everyone who breaks in from continental europe does a masters or takes longer to finish their bachelor by doing off-cycles, I think i haven't found anyone on Linkedin who did their bachelor in three years and managed to break in w/o spring week.
Yes Europeans aren't even considered real people until they have a masters.

Generally we don't hire those who aren't real people yes. This is an extremely established thing, I'm not sure why you're surprised by it. Every European I've ever spoken to knows this deal
All of my back office has a master degree, if you are in Continental Europe, you will always need to do a master and 2-3 competitive internships at least, with most of them barely converting unless it is a BB or a small boutique,
Thus, when you want to take a French speaker or an Italian speaker in your summer intern program, you'll have plenty of people with top tier school and relevant internships, no reason to take an uneducated peasant
Not saying it is an efficient system, but it is how it works when you are in Continental Europe, you got to do some internships as FT analyst are expected to be 100% plug-and-play
If you are in the UK, you might be able to secure a summer internship just with a bachelor, but as it has been said, you'd be a minority as the market is just very competitive, remember that only 0.5-1% of all applicants will get that opportunity
Comment above is a slight exaggeration. It's possible but just not very likely. If you are good and have strong experience and grades you might get some interviews here and there and I have seen people land in undergrad but objectively the numbers are not in your favor. I would still try but I'd keep this in mind and already start making masters plans.
