Lost all my hobbies

Started work about  6 months ago. Whenever I get off work late night I just go straight to bed. Whenever I have time on weekends, I just sleep in and become lethargic. I used to have a lot of active hobbies and always had things to do. Now whenever I have a free time, I just get lazy and sit in my bed and do nothing. I'm bored but nothing excites me and I lowkey crave(?) work to do. When I actually work however I become tired lmao.

Sounds weird, but is anyone going through something similar?

I found the same as an ANL1. It's probably one of the worst years and hobbies take a hit. The important thing is baby steps and I think getting outside as well. For me it was just going for short walks as soon as I woke up on the weekends. Put your headphones in and listen to some music/podcast/whatever. Part of the slumber is to do with being behind a screen all week. You need a way to break up the monotony. Getting back into old hobbies is key. I also found that restlessness took hold of me after starting this job. Just need to up the ante with your activities. Do some stuff which is exhilarating. Go bungee jumping. Do whatever makes your heart beat like when your MD gives you comments 10 mins before a meeting.

Hear this. Biggest thing is force yourself to go outside instead of lazing around. A 1hr walk can change your entire outlook and feelings if you do it regularly. And don’t say you don’t have time - you do.

I lost most of my hobbies early in my career, and it took years to get into doing anything outside of work at all. Even lost interest in seeing friends after dealing with hundreds of people for 10 hours at work each day.
These are the side effects of work stress and your body is telling you to relax/sleep. Sometimes the energy is missing to do all the things at the same time.

Now, with better WLB and more time, I am back at the gym, travel with gf, meet friends and have time for hobbies on weekends. Life can turn around.
