Lower Middle Market Career Advice and Trajectory
Hey, I'm a finance and real estate major who is set to graduate from a non-target college in about a month. During my final semester, I interned at a small investment bank based in South Florida and was offered a full-time position. Originally I had plans to go into CRE but switched out IB last minute for better exit opps.
The investment bank has only been around for a handful of years and the deals we close on range from 5-20M EBITDA. I want to eventually go into PE or consulting and was wondering if I could get some advice on what I should do if I work at a no-name investment bank. Is my chance to work at a top PE fund little to none even if I get an MBA from a top 20 school in the coming years? Would appreciate any and all advice
