M&A Intern at boutique
I am looking at a 30 day internship with a boutique IB firm that focuses primarily on M&A. What other areas of the industry (if any) could this experience directly or indirectly transfer to as far as job placement. What doors will this open, and how can it limit me?
I have a B.A. in finance from a no name school with a 3.88 GPA, my Series 7 and 66, no industry experience--I'm trying to find what area I want to land in, and get a job in that field.
Thanks
how did you get your series 7 and 66?
probably through an insurance sales job.
I went to a non-target, and thats how I got mine.
More accurately, I took the job, did the training course, got sponsored for the test, then quit.
No repercussions :D
I was sponsored through a broker that works with a non-profit that I am currently with.
does being licensed help with getting IB interviews?
Possibly. None of my interviewers seemed to care about it though.
It might help get past the initial HR screen
