M&A v. FSG @ BofA
Doing some research ahead of 2026 recruiting. Have heard mixed opinions on whether M&A or FSG is the superior group at BofA. Have generally heard that FSG has better exits but M&A a better learning experience? Any input appreciated.
Honestly gonna be fine at both for UMM / MF PE exits if that’s what you wanna optimize for. FSG is a lot more selective and slightly better WLB in current market conditions but both can be sweaty with M&A being worse for sure. M&A is probably the better technical experience but also a larger and easier group to attain if not a target. FSG is very heavy on Ivy kids.
Not true at all. Most of FSG in my class atleast was from non Ivy background.
fsg works you way less than m&a and has better culture
