MBB or MM CB for PE

I got a top 30 undergrads, an ivy master, and get two offers after graduation: One of them is a corporate banking job at a MM, and another MBB PE diligence roles. My ultimate career goal is to be a PE/VC. If I work in Finance, I would want to make the switch to PE/VC after spending 2 or so years trying to get into a BB IB. Not open to MBA since I already have a master's degree. My question is: How do I get on the right track in terms of my career goals?Should I maintain on the main track of CB -> IB -> PE, taking a few years to get into PE with a higher possibility? Or should I choose the MBB job that is more related to PE and try to make that jump?My current plan is to work for corporate banking for three to 6 months and jump to MBB after. Should I make the jump or stay within the traditional route?Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks very much!
