MD wants me in the office; I'm in the wrong country
Need some help here boys. MD went on a business trip this week so our team was "working from home". This is a boutique in London, tiny team (<10 people). I took the opportunity to hop on a 2hr flight and work from a different country, where I'm visiting some friends.
So the problem is that the MD wants us back in office on Friday, because he'll be back in office. No one at the firm knows I'm not in the UK. What's a good excuse to continue working from home on Friday? I'll be back in office on Monday so just need something for one day. Right now thinking about going with "I have chlamydia" or the standard "I have food poisoning", what are some other options here?
Fever/ cold hinting at Covid perhaps? That should do it.
Best excuse I've seen is saying you have a delivery with an unspecified time or long time frame ie 10-6
