Meeting the Team Before SA
Recently accepted an offer at an EB for 2023 summer. I networked a lot for the firm and have a few people from my team that I "know" at least from phone calls/text/email. Having accepted the offer, a few of the people on the team have reached out and while it was not explicitly "hey lets grab coffee" it was nuanced in a way that they'd be open to meeting up and chatting before the actual gig.
I was wondering if people can throw their thoughts on meeting members of the team prior to the internship. On one hand, I think it would be a great opportunity to develop relationships and stronger connections but also kind of worried about possibly messing up my first impression.
I think there is no problem in reaching out. Just keep it in a relaxed setting and just act normal.
