How would you value a gold mine? How would you value a lithium producer? How would you value a copper producer? What impact does interest rates have on financial sponsors and corporates? There's some info / context missing for some of the questions you posted here, but here's some elements of a response below: - for M&M coverage, you usually do a DCF, coz the cash flow will be generally predictable (you know roughly how much reserves the mine has of x ore and what the capacity is), then you multiply the forecast production line by some price forecast from one of the industry research guys (eg Wood Mackenzie), then work your day down the usual cash flow waterfall.
