Had a technical question about minority recaps.
Assume a company wants to buy out minority shareholders with a combination of new debt and new equity. What happens to existing debt on the balance sheet? Is it paid off or does it stay on the BS? Will pro forma debt post-transaction be existing debt + new debt raised to fund the minority buyout?
