What about their energy group didn't they grab a bunch of folks from JPM
Apparently their energy team has been hard carrying and has been on fire. They did 11/17 of the entire firm’s M&A deals this year and had been growing really fast. If anyone else has more info, please provide.
Interesting, wonder what drove the decision to jump into O&G? I don't remember seeing them on a ton of things but maybe this is a recent development?

Not much m&a. They do mostly equity and debt deals since they’re still trying to leverage their balance sheet to grow. Industrials or P&U are probably the best bet for m&a but HC team is also solid outside of m&a.
Any more specifics on these two groups regarding exits and wlb? Also how has the healthcare group been excelling then?
any thoughts on SF tech?
Mizuho heavily invested into the SF office in 2017 by hiring a ton of MDs. I know they recently closed two software deals this year. Apparently the team is good but it is grindy.
