MM IB vs Private credit internship offer. What to choose?

I'm in UK, and debating between MM IB M&A (think Baird/Houlihan Lokey/Raymond James) and private credit direct lending(think Ares/Oaktree/Sixth Street) summer internship offers.

I got 2 offers and both offer returns. I have been trying to decide.

I would appreciate any insights from industry insiders. Thanks

Would take the private credit, could help you more with recruiting for another SA or OCs.

Make sure you work hard to recruit for IB / PE, market is tougher now. However, it is still very doable - pretty sure if you also convert, that'll put you in a better spot. There's ppl who do Ardian / BX / GSAM / CVC / Bridgepoint in their credit teams and were able to still land IB / Buyout PE.  Best of luck!

Do you have offers for M&A at all the MM IB‘s or other products? Are you interested in PE or in PD in the long run?
