Based on the most helpful WSO content, here’s what you need to know:

  1. Waiting Period: It's not uncommon for MM firms to take some time before sending out offers. A 10-day wait is within a reasonable timeframe, especially if your connection confirmed that offers haven’t gone out yet. Smaller firms or MMs may have slower HR processes compared to BBs or EBs.

  2. Next Steps:

    • Follow-Up: If you haven’t already, send a polite follow-up email to the recruiter or your contact at the firm. Express your continued interest in the role and inquire about the timeline for decisions.
    • Leverage Your Network: Since you’ve networked with an MD, consider reaching out to them for advice or insights into the process. They might be able to provide clarity or even advocate for you.
  3. Keep Networking and Applying: While waiting, continue networking and applying to other opportunities. As one WSO thread suggests, "fight the nerves with more applications and networking." This ensures you have a strong backup plan and keeps your momentum going.

  4. Stay Positive: Many candidates have shared similar experiences on WSO, where patience and persistence paid off. Even if this opportunity doesn’t work out, your networking efforts and preparation will position you well for future roles.
