Mo & Co

I have an offer for a lateral move to Moelis and Company and I have a few questions and need some advice:

FYI: I graduated from a top 15 school and I am at a top 15 bank

1) What would the hours be like? 2) A lot of face time? Or work from home? 3) Good guys there? 4) What would the end of year bonus be like for an analyst? 5) Is it worth giving up a summer bonus, being that we are 6-7 months in, and I would not start until April?

Any other info is great either here or PM'ed

Most banks that hire laterals will incentivize you by offering to "make you whole", meaning they will guarentee you a bonus that would be comparable to what you would of gotten had you stayed at your prior job. Being that you are starting very late, I would push for some type of prorated bonus and maybe a stub after you worked 3 months at Mo-Co.

On Mo-Co, I worked at a firm that was very closely tied to Mo-Co, and the guys that left and went there were top of the line. I personally know a female analyst that went there from a BB (DB, JP, BOFA) and she said the lifestyle is simliar but there is a little more pressure on you to perform. Pay for a first year should be right at or even above the street. Most top boutiques are. Moelis is notorious for paying top people very well.
