Morgan Stanley 2007 Analysts

Hi Everyone! I just got an offer for Morgan Stanley in HK. Is anyone else in the same boat? Also, does anyone know if MS in Asia is base+signing+relocation or just base+relocation? Also, does anyone know if the training program in July is general or based on what divison you'll be going into? Thanks in advance!

Thanks Hank! These forums have been a great resource during the process. There's a lot of trash and nonsense too, but the good posts are REALLY REALLY good.

The biG Sachs, Morgan and UBS LA are considered tier 1 bulges, add CS FSG to that. You did very well for yourself, party it up maintain a decent gpa for bschool (if that's in your plans). Go to training have fun, learn how to link up an equity schedule from Training the Street and ask Billy Chu why in the hell you would do that because no fin models ever have that. Get slaughtered for 2-3 years maybe more or live the dream with your excellent exit opps

mikesdaboss, let me know when someone from Lehman FSG, Merrill Tech, lands a mega fund.

i wasn't referring to exit ops, I was talking about the experience of being an analyst at a Top Tier 1 (say MS) versus a lower tier 1 (CS/UBS/JPM).

Ehh I think you left out Blackstone M&A, Lazard, and Greenhill. Assuming you are talking about it from an exit opps standpoint. Actually if you're talking about it from a business school standpoint, those three firms are better than the three you mentioned.

Hahaha. I've been practicing, and I'm almost positive I can beat Billy Chu's 43 seconds in the formatting exercise. I plan on challenging him to a duel next time I see him...ER, not really, though.

i know people at CS from M&A who landed PE gigs TPG and Providence Equity Partners. From FSG that landed jobs at Carlyle, Apollo, Thomas Lee to name a few. Might not be Blackstone or KKR, but damn good funds. As long as you're top analyst in M&A or FSG group at UBS, JPM, or CS, you'll get interviews. After that, your job to convert them into offers.
