Morgan Stanley London IBD lateral opportunities
I have been looking at the lateral market for the past 10 months in London, and in all this time I have not seen a single job post on Morgan Stanley´s website with an IBD opening (neither product or coverage), meanwhile at similar places like JPM or GS you see opportunities in M&A, Healthcare, Real Estate or Industrials on a regular basis.
I find very difficult to believe that a bank with such a scale won't have any openings in almost a year. Do you guys know if MS uses recruiters instead of advertising their positions? Or is the situation that bad at MS that they won't hire anyone no matter what?

Only time I have been heard of a MS mandate was through an internal MS HR/recruiter reaching out never through independents.
It is possibly a mixture of adverse market conditions , firm specifics and internal promotions or reshuffling.
Often done via referrals or networks.
Very rarely headhunters for London in my experience.
