Morgan Stanley Securitized Products Group?
Anyone have any insights into this group's reputation? Pay? Culture?
Am getting headhunted to transfer into this group from an MBB firm -- would love to know if it's worth the jump. Obviously don't know much about the world of asset-backed securities / debt, but willing to learn if it gets me out of consulting lol
What kind of work in the securitization/structured finance space do you do? I’ve never seen an MBB being consulted on any deals. Just curious because I would assume their not AUPs.
I haven't done any work within the space -- just general growth strategy & operational efficiency projects for clients within the banking sector. You're right in that consultants don't really have a place in these deals, which is why I'd be recruiting for a more strategy heavy role, rather than a deals/transactions focused one.
Interested as well.
