Making a move from IB to StratFin at a tech company. For those who have made the move, is it normal to negotiate salary at a tech company? or is there no wiggle room like in IB? I know that for SWE roles at tech companies, it's common practice to negotiate and was wondering if that carried over to finance roles at these same tech companies. thanks in advance!

There definitely is wiggle room. Maybe not as much with state of current market. Can maybe check blind if its a well known tech company to see what other offers people are getting - blind is moreso software engineers though.
