MS 2025 SA London
Has anyone heard back after completing OA? How did people do on the OA?
Apparently last year some people with "very well aligned, well above, and well above" last year didn't make it past OA to HV, which is quite scary given that's probably one of the best outcomes you can get
If anyone has any ideas regarding the timeline of when people will hear back after OA that would be great to hear
I think the hv is not auto if you pass the OA as it is for UBS, it’s selective so there is more than passing the cutoff
Do you know roughly what the timeline is for HV invites? When would they be expected to start coming out?
Apparently MS is usually pretty quick so could it be as early as late Sept?
No to be honnest no idea but also heard that they were pretty quick
Is the OA invitation auto or also selective?
auto
Anyone get a HV for Equity Research?
I got very well aligned, well above and well above and got dinged after the OA for s&t
Don't read too much into it: I can speak for experience that MS recruitment is the stupidest thing I've ever come across.
How long did it take you to hear back after the OA?
couple days. did the test last wednesday night, got the rejection friday afternoon
following
I did the OA for an off cycle internship. Same as the other guy in the thread. Very well aligned (SJT) and well above on the rest and got rejected 3 days after. Seems like you have to be strongly aligned
Is very well aligned not the max you can get for the sjt?
No there is strongly aligned which I got last year applying for GCM SA (got the hv but got rejected still)
Strongly aligned, well above, well above and got rejected for OC internship (London) and full-time (Frankfurt) too :skull:
I think it's because I'm not based in the UK or Germany which is fair enough
Did they send you a rejection email or did you just not hear back after doing the OA?
I logged in randomly to check on the application and found that I was rejected. Got an email a few hours later
also got very well aligned, well above, well above - dinged for SA S&T just now
Doesn't look like you need strongly aligned to be considered for the next round.

According to this person, very well aligned, well above on everything was enough to get a phone call.
From what I know, most tests are just a baseline assessment. It's supremely unlikely that a "strongly aligned" candidate will always get a HV but are flagged as candidates with high potential. Someone else here has just linked a comment that it's more about the baseline than actually the grade, else they'd probably be interviewing people that aren't the right background for their programmes on the basis of just an SJT result:

Anyone got HV?
According to Trackr they have sent HIrevue's out
Trackr is often inaccurate so would take it with a pinch of salt. Regardless, HVs are sent in batches at every firm so don't be disheartened if you haven't received one.
I have found Trackr/Bristol Tracker to be reliable regarding which stage an application is at, but agree that HVs and interviews are usually sent in batches so you shouldn't feel as though you are being left behind
Got it on Thursday
You got HV? What was your test scores
I got alligned to the business unit for SJT. Applied for IB role. Is this enough to get HV? For numerical and Reasoning well above the requirements
They also have very well aligned and strongly aligned therefore you will probably get dinged. Best of luck!
😢 do you think there's still a chance maybe to get HV. If not, do they send rejection email. I completed my OA on 03 September. Should, I expect to hear back this week whether it's a rejection or HV??
I wouldn’t get your hopes up. And for the rejection email they take quite a bit of time I’ve heard. Would be happy for someone to confirm or deny my previous statement.
I see
As a previous poster has said, very well aligned and strongly aligned does not matter. I mentioned this myself below:

At the end of the day, it's all just a black box. They will have looked at your application and considered moving it forward or not at some point. It's more than just one factor that feeds into your application: imo it's severely unlikely that you'll get dinged for being "very well aligned" and not "strongly aligned" because application processes aren't about skimming the top 1% of test scores if said candidate was completely the wrong profile, ineligible, does not study a suitable subject etc.
:) this gives me hope. Will update you'll if I hear back from them whatever MS decide on my application.
No worries :) I can assure you that just because you didn't get the highest mark or grade, you don't get instantly dinged. Otherwise, it would be a stupid test that only favours people who have sought help from others that have done the test a hundred times. I know people who passed tests at BBs and MBBs with 100% and those who only passed tests with 80% - those who passed with 100% grades didn't get an interview but those with 80% grades did. It's just logical sense at the end of the day.
All tests to my knowledge are purely a baseline assessment as to whether you are capable of doing basic tasks. Once an application is reviewed, selections are made on terms of their application, extracurriculars, CV, experience and (if relevant) the University they study at.
I could still be wrong though in the 1% chance: maybe they only accept only "strongly aligned". But really, they're not going to gamble their brand and relationships with careers' services across the UK on such a small grade that only likely represents 1 in 100 individuals.
I know it quite late but did you end up receiving a HV because I have the exact same results after just completing the Morgan Stanley OA.
Did anyone applying to sustainable finance SA get a HV yet?? I had strongly aligned, and well above for all. Haven’t heard back tho
Did you hear anything
Hey did you get a 1R yet
I applied a month ago and still no reply
Or if anyone else applied to sustainable finance SA did you hear back
Got dinged :/
SJT: less aligned
Reasoning: well above
Numerical: well above
I am supposed to be better on the SJT? It looks that I am completely d*mb a*s
Has anyone received an update after 2nd round?
how long after HV did you hear back for IBD?
Less than 2 weeks
when did you do your second round?
