Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some insights regarding the process status following online assessments and receiving HireVue invitations:

  1. Goldman Sachs HireVue Process:

    • Applicants typically hear back between 1 week to a month to schedule second round or superday interviews after completing the HireVue.
    • The status of their candidacy can be accessed on the applicant portal.
  2. Mixed Messages from Goldman Sachs:

    • Some applicants have experienced confusion with their application status showing "currently not being considered" even after receiving a HireVue invitation.
    • It is common for applicants to receive email updates after their HireVue is reviewed.
  3. General Timeline:

    • Invites for HireVue video submissions are usually sent out within two weeks of registering.
    • It is not always clear if everyone gets an invite or if candidates are handpicked.

If you haven't received a HireVue invitation yet, it might be worth checking your application portal for updates or reaching out to the recruiter for clarification.

Got dinged after the OA even though my report was 'well above' for the assessments and the cultural fit was well in line. Not sure what they want but oh well.

For some reason, I can't get to link the comment but you just need "very well aligned" or "above requirements" to be considered:

It's here: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum/job-search/london-sa-2023-timelin…

MS phone interview. Now I have a contact at MS HR and asked her how recruiting is done. According to what she said, as long as you average in line or above the requirements you are at least considered for the internship. However as soon as you get one below the requirements you are pretty much insta dinged.Moving on those who are considered are then further screened for Uni, GPA, previous experience. That being said their goal is (probably depends on location and industry though; I am talking about IB) to have people in PI where they screen based on the fact: Who dont we keep. In essence this means that pretty much that everyone that was invited to PI should advance to the next round as long as he has done a bit of preparation. E.g. recent deals, talk about work experience, why MS, why IBHope that helps

Well I only talked with her about IB, they have only three tests there. Besides she said pretty much, I guess if you perform on the other test extremely well you could still be considered. However as long as you fulfill the requirements I mentioned, this should guarantee that at least someone looks at your application.Maybe if you have 4 test they see it a little bit less critical? Dont know about it for sure though. So if you get 3 time well above or above the requirements one time below the requirements you average is still better than in line. The shit I heard was confusing as hell and tbh I feel like summer analyst applications are a ahit ton of luck.

Useful insight, appreciate the link

No worries: I was really worried by people mentioning in other posts that you had to be "strongly aligned" and had to dig into the forum to find evidence to the contrary since I can be sure that my old colleagues did not get "strongly aligned" but were still given SA places at MS. (> 10-20 people over a 2 year period).

These tests are a pure baseline ticking the box exercise - it's not like school where the 99% student will for sure get a place and the 89% will not. I know someone who messed up their McKinsey case study online test and still got a first-round interview. There are lots of variables at play and they know that the exam score is only one of a very many set of components that make up your applications.
