Hey guys,
I was wondering if I wanted to apply to MS Asia but then transfer later on to the US for a FT opportunity? Is this possible?
I've heard that MS does not like analysts moving office locations so much...
So if anyone has insight please let me know... Im in the midst of filling out applications and wanted to know how easy it is to transfer to different offices for the same firm.

not possible even if u get a FT offer from HK office.
@rossgs210, that's not true. However, it is obviously extremely difficult. One of my friends SA'd HK and got a FT NY offer for MS. He was an exceptional candidate though.
Consensus advice seems to be that the Asia to NY move is tough, even internally. But if you want to do Asia then I say go for it and don't look back (HK especially is incredible).
MS has been moving staff from US to Asia. Doubtful that you'll be able to swim in the opposite direction.
