MS FIG

Any word on MS FIG? GS FIG is tops and one of the top placing groups.

I know MS FIG is staying busy, but does anyone know how they place? GS FIG places into megafunds/HFs despite being FIG, anyone know about MS?

Used the search function but nothing about this

MS FIG is a very respected group. Problem is, 2am nights are standard for those guys (source: interviewers from other groups at MS).

In terms of placement, the doors are open for megafunds. I don't think the FIG specific modelling skills is reason to keep you out. The deals/projects you get put on are more important.

That said, 2am nights are not cool.

MS in NY has a pretty solid culture overall, except the groups where they imported Citi teams (like CR). FIG probably isn't as chill as sponsors, but I don't hear stories of abuse or unhelpful seniors when it comes to recruiting. You always want groups that pitch less and do more work. Most places at GS/MS are like this, with a few exceptions.
