What is your reasoning? It seems like at FSE, I would be doing less of the same work and work more with senior people, but at CS, I would have exposure to more industries but be doing more repetitive work.
CS sponsors is classic IBD, don't think MS FSE is but could be wrong
You're right, it isn't traditional IBD, but you do have the opportunity to work on some strategy (consulting work) as well as do internal M&A (buying Citi's wealth management division last year). I am curious if one might lend itself to better exits such as PE or B-school?
I could be very wrong, but my impression is that it would be worse for PE as its not traditional IBD, but could be better for business school if you can get better recommendations as its a leaner team and because it's less "common" and more strategic
That said if you get a good PE firm from banking it'll be better for B school in general
CS Sponsors has incredible exits and is very well regarded. Internal M&A is very low volume and that strategy consulting label sounds like a load of BS. If you want a more straightaway path CS is the way to go
Thank you so much for the opinion. I am also concerned with the MS brand vs. the CS brand. Also, as a follow up question, I'm thinking about CS M&A as well, but have heard it is a bit of a sweat shop when I could have a similar experience with Sponsors and not die. Any thoughts here? Again, I really appreciate the help!
