Hi, I will be having an interview w/ MS GCM fixed income team very soon. Have anyone had some experiences or knowledge in what questions I should expect? The GCM (Fixed income) team seems to be between S&T and IBD so I am confused what type of questions will I have

One of my good buddies is currently interning one that exact desk. I can ask him for more specific information, but apparently he said the interview was not too bad at all. He said he got bond pricing questions, a math question asking what the square root of 17 is (this is actually pretty easy when you break it down), a few on yield curves and how interest rates affect the bond's price, they asked him to pitch a stock and I think they asked him to walk them through a DCF too. I know that is basic, but I wonder why that would be asked for GCM.. Other than that I cant really tell you much else. I can try to get more info out of his interview process and PM you. He did say that it was fairly laid back (obviously this depends on the interviewer) and he said they spent a lot of time talking about his non-finance interests.
