MS GCM to MS IB
If I interned in MS GCM during junior summer, could I pivot to MS IB for full time? What group in GCM would be best to switch to IB?

Could happen but difficult; levfin 100%. IMO I'd much rather take an IBD offer from a 'lower tier' firm than go to MS GCM with the explicit goal of transferring to MS IB.

It’s very uncommon. Keep in mind the recruiting is completely separate, so it’s not like JPM where you would get placed in capital markets and are switching groups, it’s completely switching divisions. You might get some marginal preference in FT recruiting (in terms of being given an interview) but you would go through the full interview process again
