what are thoughts on this?
Really just comes down to what you like - tech + tech exits vs traditional buyout exits
More location honestly. NYC tech growth equity will be easier for the NY kid to get. West coast consumer buyout would be easier for the Menlo Park kid to get.
I think this is more relative to one’s situation vs absolute though - don’t you think?
e.g Ny purebred and West coast kid who worked in Ny both have an equally good shot at east coast PE , but west coast kid also has an equally good shot at west coast PE as the menlo tech counterpart (who may or may not be a Cali purebred)
