If you were me, you would understand how I feel. My life is looking so good right now. I tried really hard to get to where I am. I studied my ass off, aced my SAT, got accepted to the best school in the world, landed multiple SA offers in today's economy, accepted an offer from a top restructuring group at your dream company. Join in.
Wow, I can't believe you would try to justify this. I always assumed you were kidding about everything...but maybe not.
You have to realize that there are tons of kids out there who also "tried really hard." They also studied their ass off, aced their SAT, and got into great schools, but didn't end up with an offer because of the economy. No need to rub it in their faces.
As with anything in life, luck plays a pretty important role in job hunting. And the only thing sure about luck is that it will change. No need to gloat when you're doing well.
I hope you do well in your SA and get an offer. However, there are a lot kids out there who work really hard,too. There is no reason to discount them just because you get an offer and they don't.

Grats on offer but what's with the constant phrase "at your dream company"? BX is great but the future isn't as good and there is no company that fits everyone. Personally, I would take Goldman over BX and I'm sure someone out there would take BCG over BX, etc, etc etc.
