Navigate from CSA to IB

Just accepted a client service associate role with UBS, just graduated from undergrad this past summer (2021). What’s the best path that will give me the best chance at breaking into IB. Plan on working here for 2 years at least, aim for promotions, and secure the series 7 and 63 and anything else they throw at me. As of now I think my best bet is getting into a T15 MBA program and try as an associate. Lurked around the forum and seen some people transition into another group within their firm.

Would love to hear any recommendations!

There were a few of the WSO podcasts about guys who moved from the back office to the front office, you could start there to hear some of their stories. IB is challenging to break into period, even more so from your position. But good luck, people do make it.

I agree MBA is your best bet.

I worked as a CSA at a quasi-peer to UBS and am at an M7 MBA now. Not doing IB personally but have a lot of friends doing it.
