Need advice on breaking into IB

Hey guys,

I’m a third year science major from a semi-target school in Canada, have 3.7 GPA. I have not been able to get any internships this summer as I started looking too late. I really want to break into IB but I know from my position it will be a tough road. I’ve heard a lot of different opinions and I’m confused as if I

1) should get work experience and go MBA route Or 2) take an extra year so I could try and get a summer internship between my 4th and 5th year or 3) do a masters in finance and try get an internship then 4) or network like crazy and get a finance internship this summer and apply to every small boutique available upon graduation.I’ve been studying finance in my off time but I no experience in work so I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to get regular finance internships with my general science background.

Any advice would be very helpful!
