I am a junior with zero finance experience other than my coursework, SIE, and extracurricular finance clubs. I didn’t realize how cut throat recruiting is for this industry. I am dead set on pursuing a career in IB and come from a non target, but good school with good grades. Even small boutique firms around me are taking other candidates over me due to my lack of experience. I thought internships were a place to learn. Would love any advice on how I can break my way into this field as I am a very driven person and will do what it takes.
