Need LevFin Advice

I am currently an associate on a corporate banking credit underwriting team. I am looking to transition into IB long term, and have the opportunity to join the LevFin Portfolio Management team. One downside to. joining this LevFin team is the underwriters hold the pen/model, and this role is more focused on monitoring after origination/underwriting. My current role has both underwriting and portfolio management experience, though it is just corporate banking.

I am wondering if people think this role is an upgrade over my current role. For context, I work at a bulge bracket bank with a large and growing LevFin franchise. I would have exposure to the front office bankers and can be involved and included in the UW process, but there is certainly less UW exposure versus my current role.

Is the LevFin Role an Upgrade
