Networking for Sophomore Internship?

Hey everyone,

College freshman here. I’m struggling a bit with acquiring a sophomore internship, and I’m hoping that someone here might be able to provide some guidance.

I understand sophomore internships are mostly obtained through networking, but how exactly should one go about that process? Would the most effective approach be to email bankers at firms you’re interested in and eventually ask them for opportunities?

Any help would be appreciated!
