Wondering if you can help me out here. I'm doing coffee chats with an elite bulge bracket (think RBC/UBS/DB), and had a good conversation with a female MD. I then asked if I could please speak to the man in charge. The conversation vibe changed at this point and she seemed almost a bit offended.
Is it one of those things like comp or WLB that you don't bring up right off the bat? How would you suggest speaking to the man in charge?
