New Baird Restructuring Group - Pros vs Cons?
Hi all,
I understand this is a new group with not much insight. I was just wondering what the pros vs cons would be of joining this group as an analyst?
Pros:
Opportunity to build a group from the ground up? Modeling responsibilities as an analyst? Maybe a larger bonus or some sort of financial guarantees given it's a new group (just thinking out loud).
Cons:
Worse hours? Lots of pitching? Mundane tasks? Lack of exits/prestige?
An opportunity like this seems really unique, but I'm just wondering what some people would consider when looking at a situation like this?

Its a new group, so I don't know too much about it. I will say that the MD, Anne-Marie, is an amazing boss. Treats her team like real people, doesn't require any face time and is generally on top of everything. She is very "Baird" which is awesome.
I think there might be a second new MD also involved, but I don't know them.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the only individual they hired so far was the Senior MD from Gugg who's starting the practice. I don't believe Anne-Marie is working in the Restructuring Advisor group (again, let me know if my information is incorrect it just seems like she's in the Debt Capital Advisory group).
Correct.

Did anyone else interview?
Yes. What was yours like? Any technicals?
