New Here - Looking for advice on moving out of IB operations into something better

Hi All! I'm new here.

I'm an associate officer at a very large global bank. I work in IB operations (corporate actions specifically), and am looking to move out of operations into something more interesting/lucrative in 2ish years once I get the education/credentials/experience. I have 3 years finance experience but recently landed this officer role in January.

Looking into maybe trading or research. I'm joining here to learn from others and get advice on how people can move out of the boring ops jobs into bigger and better things! I'm located in the US right now but have lived in Asia before and would consider working in HK/Shanghai/Bangkok in the future. Looking forward to enlightening discussions on here!
