No SA for FT recruiting, what's the best outcome?
Saw people on this forum who did FT recruiting without SA recruiting for a couple of times. I'm curious where did you all ended up, preferrably the bank's name/division/city and your other experiences on the resume. Of course I'm not thinking about recruiting for PJT RSSG out of blue but I'm thinking about MM/lower BB and not-that-popular groups in BB/EB

Ended up in consulting- fucking hate it with all my life, trying to network out or get poached by a bank for internal roles and transfer from within
So did you go from no SA - FT ECM - consulting?
Do you have no SA at all or just in an unrelated field? I think it's going to be an extreme outlier case if you're able to land any group at BB/EB/MM with no prior internship. Not sure when the threads you're referring to are, but the hiring environment in 2020 or 2021 was a lot different than now, when new FT junior headcount is trending down across all fields.
There are very few FT spots and they pretty much all go to people with IB internships, with name brands getting priority and then any leftover spots go to people from smaller firms, boutique PE etc
I'd forget about FT for the moment and hustle as much as you can to get something for this summer, even if at a small firm
I do have internship but all in boutique firms, and most of them during semesters/second year summer. Do have 4-5 internships in M&A/PE/PCA though
