Non-target in Sweden – small M&A/debt advisory boutique or keep recruiting?

I recently graduated from a Swedish university with a MSc in Business & Economics degree focused on controlling. My background is mainly accounting/finance and I’m trying to move into M&A/CF.

I’ve been contacted by the founder of a very small boutique working with M&A and debt advisory. The internship seems to include research, sourcing and some transaction work, but also a fair amount of cold calling/outreach.

Would you take this as a first step into M&A/CF, or keep looking for Big 4/a more established finance role? How much sourcing(cold calling) is normal at a small M&A boutique before it stops being useful experience?
