I wonder if these kids honestly think its impressive to get into these programs. Like I saw 15 Virtual insight acceptances today. Everyone and their mom gets in -- why post about it / add it on the linkedin? Genuinely, why??
It gives me the same energy as the people who list Harvard under education after finishing an online certificate…
Yeah, I don't really see the point of these programs. The only benefit is flexing on LinkedIn that you were "selected out of a competitive pool of 10,000 applicants" and attending a few zooms.
If anyone finds this surprising, you have completely underestimated the number of people who want to work in banking solely to sound cool / to be able to flex on people
I'm not savvy enough to know the answer to this: does it help with getting more views to their page in recruiting?
I am pretty solely in the "the flex is super obnoxious, because it's not much of a flex" camp but I'm starting to wonder if they'll pop up as related to Goldman in some way.
