Nordic PE London recruiting
Hey guys,
I'm an incoming first year analyst at an EB in London and have some questions about PE recruiting for Scandinavian language speakers, as I speak one of these fluently. Do Nordic PE funds such as EQT/Nordic Capital recruit across the BBs and EBs or is this restricted to BBs? Would be immensely grateful for any info fellow Scandinavians have into the whole "Nordic PE ecosystem" and how the process works when one is based in a London bank, as it in my view is a quite opaque process. I have lived abroad since age five so unfortunately do not have a Scandinavian peer network to ask these types of questions.
I think Triton (and maybe Nordic) hired someone from PJT recently into their Stockholm office. BB still seems to be the way to go, no strong difference to general London PE market. Lazard and Rothschild also respected.
Spoken to some of the recruiters e.g. the ones you mentioned EQT/Nordic Capital, they are pretty much open to every BB/EB as not "that many" people with Scandinavian language with good LDN banking experience
Send me a PM - also Nordic and in pretty much the same situation as you although going to a BB, would be great to connect!
