Northwestern to Chicago IB

What’s going on,
-Incoming freshman from Chicago with hoffa level mob ties at Northwestern, how’s the Chicago pipeline, and how’s recruitment in general?
-I’ve been told 2 things that kinda threw me off
1. Like 95% percent go to NYC-I’m assuming this is self selection but is it like people can’t make it to Chicago or something?
2. Heard it was extremely easy to get a Chicago offer-is this true because the guy was going on and on about how much of a walk in the park any Chicago offer was.

Advice and all that would be good. Bless and I love you…

yeah, its easy. Just rush frats, do Chicago field studies, and join ibc. As long as you try even a bit you'll get all 3 and end up with a top chicago offer. Only about 5-10 kids per year are interested in Chicago and the ones that are end up almost always at top shops. Goodluck but you probably wont need it.

completely agree with the comment above, just prepare decently and you'll have multiple Chicago offers in ib and possibly in UMM pe. Pretty much everyone from Uchicago and NU that want chicago cruise to it, kinda like Rice with houston and maybe UNC with charlotte(not sure about UNC). And congrats on the ties lol.

you're in the best possible scenario for Chicago ib, you'll always be at the top of the pile, be personable(which seems like you are) and study techs and you'll end up anywhere you want tbh.

agree with others, if you somehow dont manage to get an offer in Chicago then you gotta question a lot about yourself.

I wouldn't say itll be handed to you, but about as easy and straightforward of a process as you can get in IB. Just keep your grades up, know techs, and network a bit. Honestly, a lot of places you might even just get off cold apps. New York will be a little more difficult but still very doable with a little effort.
