Not Great at "Thinking on my feet"?

Hello hello,

Question is in the title, but does anyone else feel like they have this issue? I generally receive very positive reviews from the rest of my team, but the area I am extremely self-conscious in is my ability to come up with responses to questions on the fly.

For example, my VPs/Directors will always be able to recall who ABC Company is sponsored by, or what XYZ Company's EBITDA margins are off the top of their heads. But when I get asked similar questions, it is 30% answerable on the spot and 70% having to consult notes or say, 'let me circle back on that'. I like to reassure myself that they have the ability to spend more time looking at data points at a higher level, but I'm just not so sure that's the case.

Other monkey, do any of you feel that way? If so, was it a result of not synthesizing information properly, or was it a function of low confidence when put on the spot?

Thanks in advance!
