OCR over. No offers. What now?

So, say I'm a junior at a target, OCR is over and done with, and I don't have any offers. What do I now? Is there no chance of getting a full-time position after graduation without an internship?

Advice? Comments? All are appreciated.

By no offers, I assume you mean no interviews because the summer analyst recruiting season does not end in January. If you didn't get any interviews, you probably need to adjust your expectations. For some reason these banks did not select you based on your resume. Maybe look for different jobs related to finance in banking like corporate finance, corporate development, asset managment. Since you do go to a target, it will probably be easier to reach out to those firms that maybe don't have a clear cut recruiting system like the BBs.

its not the end of the world, i did not get any summer internship offers in trading last year and now I have a full time offer. Make sure you don't waste your summer tho, i did research at school in computer science. Once the end of august rolls around make sure you start applying/networking. And have a good excuse for why you did whatever you did over the summer.

Plenty of people don't get summer analyst spots and then get a full time gig. Look for boutique opportunities, even MM banks might not have wrapped up. If that failes, go look into corporates for finance & corpdev roles. Asset Management and/or alternative investments is also an interesting option. Or you can try to work with a smaller consulting firm or something like that.

Full-time analyst classes are comprised usually of about 50-50 summers to new hires. That number might be higher in 2009 but there will still be slots available to students who network well, have strong resumes and did something interesting other than banking for the summer.

I am in the same boat as well and it's really frustrating(thought I interviewed really well but didn't get any superday for US yet.) Let's hope something comes along and I am doing whatever I can to get something.
