Office Visit Post Accepting FT Offer

I accepted a FT offer with an EB/BB in a regional office and I am back home for winter break. I haven't really communicated with people in the office besides a brief call and was wondering whether I should reach out to schedule a lunch with the junior people and stop in to say hello - how to go about all this (especially since I didn't summer here and don't really know the people that well) - etc. any advice is appreciated!

I would guess you are going to be tested for drugs and communicable diseases, so your goal should be to not do drugs and not be sick.

You should expect a lot of coughing and ball handling. Dr's like to go steve nash on your junk...makes them feel important and helps them forget about how much debt they are in. Main goal should be to get an ADD diagnosis (if you dont already have one) and snag as much adderall as you can carry out the building. Seriously hope the OP is trolling...if not you'll probably die of some rare disease that should have been caught as an infant. Cheers!

Why not go visit them all and then make a decision? There could be something that really stands out that could change your mind.

You're born, you take shit. You get out in the world, you take more shit. You climb a little higher, you take less shit. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what shit even looks like. Welcome to the layer cake, son.

I agree, don't cut off your process for the sake of making a decision. Unless your Deloitte offer is an exploding one, take your time and take all your visits. If anything it gives you a chance to meet some different people and see various office environments. You never know, one of them may surprise you.

You're not in a rush. The good news for you is that this is a great position to be in.

Dshack- did you end up going with Deloitte over IBM? Do you feel that you made the right decision? I'm pretty much in your shoes right now.

It will be much more like an information session. Essentially they are trying to get to know you as a person and find out your interests, your background, talk about their teams, etc - pretty much gauging what kind of a fit you'd be with the group.

The technical stuff is done for the most part - you've already got the offer - now it's about finding out where you'll best fit - both from their point of view and yours.
