I wanted to know if you can get summer assoicate position in IB with an 2 year online MBA? I want to do online MBA and break into IB but I dont know if golman sachs etc. select people fo rsummer associate programs from online Mba. Thank you for letting me know.

MBA hires at decent banks will be 99% from full-time two year MBA programs, 1% from part-time two year MBA programs, and 0% from online MBA programs.
I hear Tobin & Company hires people from online MBA programs. Highly prestigious firm with strong dealflow.
If you're in a different industry that doesn't have direct ties with FO at the bank specifically IB then I would say your chances are very slim to never happening. As the other poster mentioned a traditional MBA program is the main feeder into IB SA Associate position. Your best bet is to leverage the alumni network from your chosen (online)MBA then network like hell to land a FT gig. Most have career services (nowhere as near as robust at FT) for online MBA students.
Or if you already work in a bank say in an S&T or ER role then I would leverage that network as well. Think about this way...You're trying to land the same summer internship that other smart and talented people want who are actually on campus all the time and within a stone's throw from the OCR team and events while you are probably at home or office or wherever behind a computer.
