If your bank is your employer they will push you in various ways... 1) account opening form on your desk when you start (with no comments or requests, it is up to you) 2) your colleagues will encourage you to bank with your employer (it looks a bit weird if you don't) 3) you will get to know the banking products first hand as a customer yourself, which is useful. an employee should always know the products.
I always had an account with them, but also banked with others, depending on the features.
