Opinion: Making money is hard

It seems as though every opportunity to make a ton of money is either extremely competitive or near impossible. Lottery or Casino? Give me a break.
Stock Market? Anything you can think have has been thought of by others and hedge funds.
Want to get a job in IB? Hard as fuck as this website shows. Going to law school or getting an MBA is easier, but if you want to make a lot of money you have to go to a top school for either, with is a grind.

Doctors make money! But getting into pretty much any medical school is harder than getting into most Ivy League schools. Yeah, you could go to a Caribbean Medical school, but good luck matching in residency.

The solution? Not much I can think of. If you have parents who already have prestige, you have a huge advantage and they can probably pull strings to get you into what they do.

I’m not saying it’s impossible to go from nothing to getting rich. If you did it, massive credit to you. Now, there may be some things or ways I’m not aware of to make a lot of honest clean money. In fact, most people will probably want to shit on this pessimistic post. I’m just saying most opportunities are saturated with competition. Feel free to counter what I say. If there is actually a way to make a lot easily, I’m sure everyone would love to hear it.

Yep you aren't wrong.

You gotta find a field thats super niche and high value....I had a family member who was specialized in deep sea well completions offshore. Raked in 500k working half the year offshore before he decided to retire. There just weren't many guys with as much experience as him on a billion dollar rig.

If it's easy people do it until it isn't easy anymore. You're either first, better than the competition, or super lucky -- see any industry (or sub industry like cybersecurity in tech) from start to maturity.

Compare that to trying to flip a house in your neighborhood which almost anyone can do...

There are a lot of variants to earn money. But from the lottery and casino, I will definitely choose the latter. As for my preferable ways to enjoy my leisure time, I have checked this important resource and found so many games that I didn't even imagine. Not 1 offline entertaining center provided me such ones. And it is very convenient.

^“Getting a job in IB is not that hard.”

Can someone attest to how true this is? I just finished up reading that Uchicago, Cornell, Williams, Holy Cross thread, and I got the impression that less than 30% of serious target students get IB offers. So which is it?

Funniest

You are so wrong making money is easy. I just got this email from someone in Nigeria who is having a problem getting some profits from a gold mining company into the country and I am going to help him out and make bank.

Umm this is very wrong.  An above average looking girl can take in 100k a month easy on onlyfans.  Absolute easy cash. Simps will pay for anything nowadays.  15 year old girls are making millions doing dances on tik tok wearing tube tops.  Being a thot  is easy.  Stop killing yourself trying to find value in the stock market or trying to work at a sweatshop like moelis or lazard.  Much easier to thot.
