Outlook for Investment Banks focusing on Energy in Houston

I will be interning at a small boutique investment bank that is focusing on Energy in Houston, Texas and am just curious on the outlook of the Energy industry? A lot of people are saying that Energy is a dying industry. Anyone have any experience working in the Energy industry in Houston specifically in Investment Banking?

Thank you for proving everyone’s point that MBA associates (Summer Associates especially), are fucking idiots

Open any major news outlet and read what is going on: 2 major ~$60B deals announced in the last month, another ~$2B deal announced yesterday, Houston was selected as one of the 7 major hydrogen hubs in the country with billions of federal grants awarded….

List goes on, maybe open your eyes and actually read something every once in a while…
