Yeah my experience with Extern was garbage. The 1 month long “externship” had ~4 hours of actual work and the majority of my 300 person “cohort” came from 3rd world countries. I can’t even fluff up the experience and use it as resume filler because no one knows what the fuck an “externship” is and I just sound like a moron whenever I have to spend 2 minutes explaining the whole arrangement. Thankfully I didn’t pay anything for mine, but I’d recommend anyone looking for work experience to stay away.
People like you deserve to lose their money rolf
Boy someone sure is salty for falling for such an obvious scam lol.
If you’re stupid enough to pay to work somewhere, you deserve to lose your time and money.
Not because some places aren’t worth paying for. But because no place that is worth paying for will let you pay them.
Del
Lmao why on earth would you pay for that??? Did you pay paragon one or the intermediary? I did the exact same program for free, so if you paid an intermediary then you’re just an idiot. While the work wasn’t anything special, it was good to put on my resume and it helped me land a great freshman summer internship. This one is on you
This post seems like it took you a while to write... did you not once stop and think "why did I pay so much money for this?"
Any company asking you to pay to work for them is a complete scam. Of course the "work" you guys do is fake, how could you possibly think this was real work? Some serious lack of critical thinking on this
Thank you so much for sharing. Without this post, I would’ve never guessed that paying someone for the privilege of working for them was a dubious proposition. I will cancel my biweekly checks to my employer imminently. But I’m still going to keep tipping my MDs at the end of the fiscal year to reward them for performance.
Did you pay $2000 to the intermediary or to Extern? The externship is free to apply and work at, you just got scammed lol
I ain’t reading allat
Your first mistake was paying for an internship. That is almost (99%) always a scam. Employers (that you most likely seek to join) see right through it. May even be a negative signal on your resume. Take it as a learning opportunity and look for real internships.
The externship is free you absolute moron
holy fuck you must hate them
Used to be in your shoes, though thankfully run once I heard I had to pay them
Bump!
Obviously. K ow you’re angry, but you can only be angry at yourself. I don’t think any serious candidates are doing that
